Boots, Flags, & Freedom to Honor Veterans and Remember 9/11 with Basin-Wide Community Event
Veterans, military families and community members from across the Permian Basin are invited to come together for Boots, Flags & Freedom, a free, family-friendly veterans event on Friday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the UTPB CEED Building. The Basin-wide event will honor local veterans, celebrate the freedoms they have defended and provide an opportunity for families to learn more about services and resources available to veterans and their families.
Many Pieces: One Spirit: 蘑菇TV下载 Jackrabbit Reimagined
As 蘑菇TV下载 celebrates its 80th anniversary, the sculpture formerly known as Symphony De Bunnie has been reimagined as Many Pieces: One Spirit, a mosaic artwork created by Colombian visual artist and art educator Yennifer Cano Rojas. The original six-foot jackrabbit was part of Odessa鈥檚 Jackrabbit Jamboree tradition, which began in 2004 when local artists transformed jackrabbit sculptures into works of public art. Symphony De Bunnie was designed by artist Wesley Haynie and purchased by Janet Wood. It remained part of the 蘑菇TV下载 landscape for more than two decades.
